About Us

Firmly Planted Landscape and Planting Service, Inc. began operation the fall season of 2003. The company was formed out of a desire to provide personal, quality service to those often overlooked by large-scale landscape companies.

We are a small, owner operated company focused on residential landscaping needs. Our goal is to create outdoor living space that reflects the desire and vision of our customers. Our owner, Kurt Engemann, meets each homeowner personally to assess the project and the desired outcome. He is directly involved with each project from start to finish –and the project is not finished until our customers are satisfied.

Our philosophy is simple –Firmly Planted Landscape and Planting Service, Inc. is a company operated with integrity. We will conduct ourselves professionally and honestly. We will minimize the “contractor footprint ”by using small machinery, if any and we will maintain the integrity of our customers ’property.

Kurt Engemann has been learning his trade since childhood. He and his dad often walked along their property discussing trees and other plant life. Building on this knowledge, Kurt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from Kansas State University in 1995.  He worked in the landscaping industry for five years before taking the step of faith to start Firmly Planted Landscape and Planting Service, Inc.. Kurt ’s daily goal is to operate his business in a manner that is reflective of his Christian values. What better reminder than the name of your company?

“He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:3 (NASB)
